Based in Metro Atlanta, The Evelyn Stokes Foundation, Inc. focuses on equipping gifted and motivated youths with the skills necessary to develop effective programs, policies, and procedures that aim to uplift those in need. Through robust collaborations with both local and international organizations, and a strong emphasis on community service and policy engagement, the foundation empowers its participants to make meaningful changes. Who can participate in the foundation's programs?

FUTURE LEADERS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM:

We accept 10 highly gifted and motivated students between the ages 13 to 23 from zip codes 30034, 30038 and 30058. Selected participants have shown an interest in the empowerment of marginalized communities through the creation of effective policies and procedures. Participants will meet regularly to discuss and develop policies and procedures which will positively impact marginalized communities. These policies and procedures will then be shared with the appropriate community and/or legislative bodies. Additionally, Participants will attend monthly meetings with community individuals, policymakers and lawmakers to learn how to successfully create who have implemented community programs and policies. Participants will participate in local community service projects. They will have opportunities to visit significant institutions such as local and state governmental and elected offices, the United States Congress, the United Nations and other policy making organizations. ADULT EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM:

The Adult Empowerment Program is open to adults who wish to develop skills to empowers themselves with practical skills to make informed and cost-effective decisions about food and everyday shopping. Through interactive workshops and real-life scenarios, families learn budgeting basics, price comparison, meal planning, reducing waste, and understanding product labels and marketing tactics. The program emphasizes smart shopping habits that stretch household income while maintaining nutrition, quality, and long-term financial stability.

In addition, the program provides clear, accessible education on resources related to home purchases and long-term asset building. Families receive guidance on saving for a home, understanding credit and mortgages, navigating down-payment assistance programs, and identifying trustworthy housing and financial counseling resources.
